Meshery publicly recognizes and appreciates its users and contributors.

Meshery’s recognition programs are designed to acknowledge and celebrate the milestones of our community members. These programs provide a way for users and contributors to earn badges that signify their achievements and involvement in the Meshery ecosystem and for users to obtain certifications that validate their skills and expertise.

Badges

Meshery offers a variety of badges that users and contributors can earn by participating in the community, contributing to the project, or achieving specific milestones. These badges serve as a testament to your skills, dedication, and involvement in the Meshery ecosystem. Badges can be displayed on your profile, shared on social media, or included in your professional portfolio to showcase your accomplishments. User accomplishments and level of expertise are recognized with a collection of badges dedicated to offering credence to their skills and milestones.

Certifications

The Meshery Certification Program offers a structured pathway for professionals to validate their skills in managing and contributing to Meshery. The program includes certifications for administrators, developers, and open source contributors, each tailored to different levels of expertise and roles within the Meshery ecosystem.

The first certification, Certified Meshery Contributor (CMC), in this program was launched in October 2025. This certification validates the skills of developers contributing to the Meshery open source project.

• Layer5 - Badges are one of the many ways that we recognize the efforts of our contributors and uplift our users. Badges represent milestones that you achieve both in using and in contributing to Meshery. As a contributor, this is how you demonstrate your ownership, dedication, skills and commitment. As a user, this is how you demonstrate your prowess, milestones, and meaningful engagement.
